Another Day of Stimulating Images

The World of Colour event on Sunday 7th March following the Annual General Meeting was another afternoon of stimulating images. Varied Audio Visual sequences from Ian Bateman FRPS MPAGB covering humour, documentary subjects, music, poetry and amongst other subjects. One sequence lasted exactly 4 minutes, 8½ seconds about the measurement 4 feet 8½ inches – a very witty sequence – those who saw it will never see the World in the same way again!. If you were not there you will now be left wondering just what you missed and what it was all about!!

Rikki O’Neill FRPS MPAGB followed on with his very creative images, together with a few short AV sequences too, bringing the day to an amazing finish. Rikki last came to the Federation in November 1999 when he showed his talent with darkroom prints – highly creative and often made on a great variety of unconventional papers. Now with the digital era Rikki uses his artistic talents to transform his photographs into art masterpieces – using textured backgrounds, some of which he gets from wallpaper rolls – now that’s an idea!.

Our next Event will be Prints for All on Sunday 7th November 2010 at the Latton Bush Centre, Harlow, more details in The Bulletin.

A note for your diaries – Sunday 6th March 2011 – again at Latton Bush Centre after the AGM. - make sure you do not miss the opportunity to see the stunning Landscapes of Joe Cornish HonFRPS.
