Photo Opportunities in Cambridge

Open Cambridge – a weekend of free tours, talks and open access organised by the University of Cambridge, 10-12th September 2010

Cambridge is home to some spectacular architecture, fantastic art collections and beautiful gardens. Taking place across the weekend of 10-12th September, Open Cambridge – part of Heritage Open Days – gives families, local residents and community groups the opportunity to visit properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission.

PAGB Awards for Photographic Merit

The Awards for Photographic Merit were held at the Latton Bush Centre, Harlow on the 24th/25th April. There were 7 entries for the Credit Print section and 1 for the Credit Digital entry from the EAF resulting in 2 passes. Colin Strong of Potters Bar & District PS and Brian Fleming of Halstead & District PS.

Teamwork Pays Off

A smoothly-run PAGB Awards assessment took place on the weekend of 24th/25th April thanks to the efforts of many of the Executive Committee and Harlow Photographic Society. It was all down to the organisation of Andy and Daphne Hanson backed up by Eric and Naomi Saul and the willing team of volunteers that beavered away behind the scenes to make it all happen. This did not go unnoticed by the PAGB and Leo Rich, Awards Secretary, wrote to the EAF President, Malcolm Tinn, congratulating the EAF on the excellent organisation (see here for copy of letter).
